Hey there guys! Today I decided to take on the mighty Dancer G5 – A Furious Finale~ Currently I am a lvl 70 Dancer, and instead of doing it at 75 I decided to do it when most people doing G5 will do it. I’ve heard from many sources that it is a difficult fight, I read a couple of stratergies and decided to give it a shot myself! To test myself, and see if I’m worthy to be a dancer D: So me and nauthy grabbed our coats and set sail for South Gustaberg [S] were we would fight Veteren Quadavs! After about… 2… XD I got the Test drop!

Now for the Video of the fight! Once I took it to Laila we were teleported to the BCNM arena, the fight was about 8 minutes long… so I cut it down and added an awesome song! So please watch it XD

Yes!! It was a success!! I’ll explain my stratergy below if you’re interested and I’ll also post the full video of the fight for people who wish to see the full stratergy in a video.

• Main Weapon – Behemoth Knife – Lvl 70 DMG: 31 Delay: 211 HP +25 Attack +8
• Range - War Hoop – Lvl 40, DMG: 21 Delay: 286 CHR +3
• Head – Empress Hairpin – Lvl 24, HP – 15 DEX +3 AGI +3 Evasion +10
• Neck – Chivalrous Chain – Lvl 60, DEF: 4 STR +3 Accuracy +5 Store TP +1 (Start – Opo-opo Necklace – Lvl 60, DEX +1 While Asleep: Raises TP)
• Left Earring – Spike Earring – Lvl 55, Attack +5 Evasion – 5

• 10x Hi-Potions (Only Used 8 ) – Restores 100 HP
• 4x Sleep Potion (Use with Opo-opo  necklace) – Gives you 25 TP each one.
• 1x Icarus Wing – Gives you 100 Tp
• 1x Opo opo Necklace (if you dont already have one) – While Asleep: Raises TP
• 1x Squid Sushi – For the Accuracy +15% (Please be aware that it has resist sleep, so use AFTER the sleeping potions)
• 1x Persikos au Lait – Regen effect +4

Strategy

First of all, before you enter the BCNM, you need to be aware there is a time limit of 10 Minutes. Most of the records that have been broken are around the 4 minute mark, but with my fight it was 8 minutes long. So, before you enter, make sure you have all the proper equipment on and macros set. Once you enter, use the 4 sleeping potions with the Opo-opo necklace equipped. This takes around 1-2minutes so be quick with it, after you have gotten 100 TP, equip your regular neck piece (Chiv Chain for me). Eat the Squid sushi and drink the Persikos au lait.

Now you are ready for the fight! Engage Lalia and then use the Weapon Skill – Dancing Edge on her straight away. Most of the fight, you need to focus on Steps. Make sure, you equal them out so you dont cap them as Lvl 5 and only get 1 finishing move per step. Make sure to use Hi-potions when needed. Once you get 4 Finishing moves use Reverse Flourish, there is no point in waiting for 5 finishing moves. Use building flourish then use Dancing Edge, quickly use the Icarus wing and do another Dancing Edge it should Skill Chain. 

Now, Laila should be at about 50% HP, and probably in Trance mode. Now, its the time for you to go into Trance mode too. Once in this state, use Curing Waltz IV until full Hp, also do a Drain Samba III. Once you are fully healed, use a few Healing Waltz to get rid of her steps. Once again, Use steps -> Reverse Flourish -> Dancing Edge. Use Hi-potions once Trance is over, then, 2 more Dancing Edges and she should be finished, she only needs to be at around 20% Hp to give up.

Key Points

• Focus more on Attack+ and Accuracy+ equipment, dont bother with CHR+ much.
• Only use Hi-Potions to cure yourself unless in Trance Mode then use Curing Waltz IV
• Basically, just get as much TP as you can, and Weapon Skill her as much as you can
• Use Trance when shes at 50% HP
• Use Quickstep and Boxstep as much as possible, if, they both are capped at lvl 5, use Stutter.
• No point in using ANY flourish, other then Reverse and Building.
• Finally don’t use any sambas, unless in Trance mode, then use Drain Samba III

~Millionsknives~: If i had to pick a reason though, I’d say it comes from the old tales of the Crystal War. Hearing about a man who could slain an enemy while being at such a great distance away that the hedious beast knew not of the mans exsistance is simply divine.

~Millionsknives~: However, Ranger has some similarities with Red Mage you know. 

~Repent~: How so may I ask? :3

~Millionsknives~: As I’m sure you know, Red Mage focus on hindering the abilities of the enemy, such as weighing them to the earth with Gravity, or casting a vail of darkness over them with Blind.

~Millionsknives~: Ranger can also do many of these enfeebling skills, why, an arrow can be enchanted with nearly any effect which is where the link between the two jobs lies.

Hi guys! It’s been a while I know, I was busy with uni and then when I finished I just got lazy sorry D: I’ve played lots of FFXI since I’ve gotten back home so I’ll sum it up in this blog, I’ll try not to waffle to much though! I’ll post them through out the blog, since I havent posted in about 2 months I have a lot to write and talk about so I’ll split it into parts. Since being at Uni, I needed to find something to do on FFXI that could earn me money without fighting monsters or partying. This was because my internet connection at my apartment was so lame that I d/c every second . So a little mithra was like ‘Why don’t you fish? Your lazy and awesome it just might work!’ not actual quote. So I grabbed me a rod and some bait from the advise of my friends Spankey and Sylbianna and headed to windy! For lvl 1-10ish you have to fish up moat carp, so I found a nice little spot where I would spend weeks fishing non stop as I sat in my Uni appartment XD At first, I thought fishing would be boring, but it turned out to be pretty fun! As I spent weeks and weeks in the same spot at windy I met countless people who would stop and give me a /poke to see if im not a bot Then when I reply there like ‘DO YOU HAVE A LIFE D:!’, anyway XD I met a lot of people who came on a daily basis to, I made quite a few friends and have a nice time talking or spending time just relaxing and fishing~

After a while I finally skilled up and was high enough lvl to finally fish on the boat, I wanted to go on the boat because its more fun and sometimes NMs pop that you can have a quick go with :3 While on the boat, you fish up ‘Nebimonite’ using crayfish paste and they sell for about 9k a stack which is tasty as! It’s a item which RMT farm heavily in ;.;. Also, I can travel with my friends on it, Spankey, Sylbianna, Corbin and Lasaro would sometimes join me on fishing adventures as we battled fierced Pirates and scary NMs in order to catch and sell our fresh tasty fish!

I made quite a lot of money from Nebs and I also skilled up lots to. At the moment my fishing skill is at Level 13 which is pretty niffty as it takes a while to skill up fishing! After a long day of fishing, my friend Spankey sometimes comes along to exterminate some RMT, theres nothing like a RMT killing fest to end a peaceful day of fishing~

I also made a new friend called Kisoka or Lasaro she has split personalities D: whether she wants to be a sexy hume male or a cool female elvann whatever suits her mood. Yeah over the past month or so me, Sylbianna and Lasaro have gone on many adventures and I’ve also helped her out on numerous things such as getting cooking to lvl 100! We spent a while farming Royal Jelly in Crawler’s Nest, it was kinda fun when we got the item seeing if she skilled up or not. It was easier getting them off bee’s, they dropped quite a lot, probably about 1 every 15mins which is pretty ok! But first of all we did the rolanberry NMs which was stupidly long XD but we got to fight the cute green crawler! After a lot of hard work I think it took about a week, she finally skilled up to lvl 100 cooking! Grats again Kisoka!

I spent a lot of time hanging around with Sylbianna and Lasaro, whether we were fishing or skilling up, or helping each other out on certain quests, twas just a nice lazy month since I was stressed at uni we just went on a few adventures now and again having fun and all, ahh the good old days~ I had a whole load of screenshots, since I was at uni I was only able to play at night so I was hanging around and annoying these two for a while I wish I could post up all our adventures but this blog would go on forever XD So here is a picture I really like, my fav one!

Next on the list of adventures is HNM hunting!! Our linkshell ‘Suicide Moogles’ has quite a range of 75s now, and our leader Millionsknives spotted a HNM and got its ToD so we decided to go for it! The HNM was called Smiurgh and it dropped these boots for rng that increase movement speed, tasty as. SO forming a little pt we tried this HNM for over 2 weeks, noting down the ToD every time we killed it and txting and ringing up people when it popd to come help! Was very fun and I enjoyed it lots but the damn item didnt drop! We did get a demescot Ingot which is a even rarer drop, but I would of prefered it Millionknives got the boots! It was really cool everyone came on to help nearly everyday, and really anoying the fact that one day we gave it a rest becuase of high competition, and the other LS got the drop…. THE ONE DAY WE DIDNT DO IT D: We got into a HNM mood and went to camp Roc as well. We killed that HNM a few times but in the end we all lost interest, it would of been difficult anyway if we got the drop as everyone wanted it ;.;. Also for Roc and Smirugh I got to try out tanking, at first I was a little sceptical. But, War is a hate machine! so I never lost it, with defender up and retaliation up my back was covered if my shadows failed. Timing my shadows right I was able to only get hit about once before they were back up again which is pretty good!! My first taste of HNM killing, on a small scale but it was still fun, I’m not sure i’ll enjoy being in a HNM shell as I don’t think it will be as fun!

For the last part of my blog I’ll be talking about DANCER D: I think I was 37 last time I wrote my blog ^^;;;; I am now a lvl 57 DNC!!! Let’s see first of all I’ll talk about the new abilities I got each 5 lvls! At lvl 40 I had a number of things to do and get as DNC, and also I got the Ability ‘Reverse Flourish’ which basically converts you finishing moves to tp, it is a tasty move and helps me gain tp fast and store tp for emergencies! Also I had my first AF to do which is a rng weapon with CHR+3. I had to go to Grauberg (S) and fight a NM D: Was pretty easy my friend Kisoka came to help me as lvl 75 smn, the only problem was getting there since the mobs there had tru sight and could one shot us all in the face! anyway after Kisoka mashed the NM I got the tasty rng weapon! (Sorry im rushing through this I dont want you to read to much XD already on 1300words!!!) Then from lvl 45-50 I got quite a few good abilities one being ‘Haste Samba’ which -5% off weapon delay while in effect which is tasty as! I also went to the Phenumia Aquaducks (cant be bothered spelling it XD) and I got a… after 10 hours or partying… People leaving after they got their subligars and not waiting for me… reforming and helping more people get subligars… After 10 HOURSRSRSR!! I GOT A RAPERREE HARNESS YEAH D:

/ahem… Anyway XD yeah its tasty as, Haste+4% I’ll be using even it lvl 75. At lvl 50 I also started all my DNC AF. Not really much to talk about since most f it was just geting material from the AH ;/ was pretty lame, the story was ok but I wont ruin it, the only good AF quest was the body part. You had to dance with a rival and try gather the biggest crowd of people XD was really fun! So I have all the pieces of AF, tasty as, and I lvl’d from 50 to 57, with about 5k in gil The only thing worth mentiong is CHOCOBO JIG at lvl 55 XD Increases my movement speed~ Yay~ Anyway im guessing your bored now so i’ll round it up with a picture!

Hi everyone! Thanks again for stopping by to read my blog I’m sorry I’m updating slower and slower, I’m back at uni now and once again getting sucked in with mountains of work, I only have about 6-7 weeks left then I’ll be free! I’m still reading all your blogs and coming on FF now and again to see how you guys are doing! Anyway! This blog will update my weeks playing and also there is another EPIC story! You can skip it if you wish I’ll always post a little blog before it for you guys, you dont have to read ther EPIC story, its just to make me lvling my NPC sound more exciting. This time its about Overlordlaharl past and why he is cold, angry and a lone wolf O: also I’ll try my best not to spoil the NPC storyline cos its amazing ^^ but before that all you mithra’s better look away before the sexyness makes you faint!

Yep, me, Kroeger and Millionsknives decided to head out on a adventure one fine day! I was short on cash and kro asked for help, and apparently this quest gives you 10k AND a exp scroll!! So I was like, I’m there foo o: What is this magical quest you ask? Its a escort quest, where a annoying NPC pops up and circles a room of IT mobs that are aggressive and link like madmen! So with me tasty SH and /DNC sub (I’ll explain its goodness later!) we set out to Crawler’s Nest where a young man called Trilok asked us to protect a young lady called Olavia as she runs through it like a mindless idiot D: Anyway, this day was a very strange day for Kroeger! He just finished partying (Yes…PARTYING..the man who hates pting with his soul D:) and I heard him admit something we all knew

XD anyway! We scurried to Crawler’s Nest and ended up waiting about 20mins for the goddamn quest to start because only one party is allowed to do it at one time >.< when it started, well, it was pretty easy, first of all we mashed everything in site thinking the NPC aggrod everything XD but then we realised our silly ways, then it was easy going from there haha. If we were lower level we would of been owned since she ran into the Scorpion room and ran round it like a headless chicken @.@ We did our job successfully and reported back to bastok were we got our reward!

This got me thinking ‘wow helping people is pretty swell ‘ so I tied up me boots and headed of to Xcabard (I’m to lazy to spell it right~) to help me friend Panakana :3 He needed his AF doing, which is the Dark Sparks NM. I read up on this badboy and I thought I could solo, cos you know, I am cool hahah but when we finally got there and I started fighting I was like ‘Pana help heal me @.@’

It hit like a madman, so my shadows were up but there was always a 10 second time where I’d be hit for about 100dmg and quite fast! With the help of Pana who hasted me and Cure’d me I was able to defeat it and he got his tasty AF ^^ Then i was asked to go on another journay! This time Holmsly needed his AF doing, wikia warned saying you need elemental seal, but he sounded like he really wanted it, so I though I’ll try my best to help him, btw if you dont know what we had to do, its for his SMN AF and we had to go to the cloister of ice or something in Pso’x (Im so sorry about place names spelt wrong I can’t remember for the life of me ;.;), and in there 6 Nms pop @.@ as a shadow tank that means death but Holmsly said Shiva can sleep. I may as well try cos he wanted it badly After a long journey we finally arrived there!!

We buffd up and did a little dance to stretch out and we were ready!! With me shadows up, and Holmsly had SHiva out we ran into battle!! It was going well as Shiva slept 5 of them, and I was tanking 1 with ease and killing it fast. But sadly. The Sleep without elemental seal lasted about 10 seconds hahaha XD So they all woke up and owned my shadows and me D: ah well, sorry holmsy I tried my best, but  heard you got your AF anyway so congrats

/kaa~ after helping a lot of people I decided to get back on track with lvling Dancer ^^  I was lucky and got lots of awesome parties, I was lvl 35 Dancer in no time!! My target was 37 before the end of my easter but 35 is good enough since I have all the dances now available as a sub! What are the new dances you say? I got ‘Healing Waltz’ which is so tasty, Its basically a ‘Erase’ which is super handy for getting rid of annoying paralysis or poison >.< Only downfall is the waltz timer meaning I won’t be able to cure myself (Sometimes in soloing tough battles you need to heal constantly). The second Dance I got is Drain Samba II!! Oh my, its so good. Drain Samba I basically was 5hp-11hp so it was pretty random and came kinda useless higher lvl. What Drain Samba II does is times the delay of the users weapon by 0.08 and heals you by that amount ^^ So this is extremely handy again for my Warrior sub. An example is a nice round some off 500 is my delay for my GA times it by 0.08 you get 40 ^^ So I get 40 Hp return each hit which is pretty damn good. 75War/dnc is amazing, with all these great dances, and also ‘Retaliation’, with retaliation, I can do double dmg and get TP return for dances, I am able to none stop solo, I also tested it out in Campaign and I could solo a yagudo with ease and ended it with full hp @.@.  Onto something random, ever seen a flying man?

EPIC STORY: OVERLORDLAHARL’S PAST

The sun, bursting through a dusty old window, shone on my dry tired face, as I sat there in its warm healthy glow I managed to pick myself up out of bed and stumble over to the bathroom. After a few moments of curing myself of my zombiefied state that I am when I wake, I put on my heavy armour, grabbed my axe and with a melancholy sigh I stepped out of my moghouse into the bustling city that is Jeuno. It always amazes me this city, if I’m not being dazzled by the magnificent structure and views of this city, them I’m awestruck with the people all around me. I see young adventures shouting for help and looking so eager and excited to start their quests. I see cheeky Mithra’s trying their best to seduce people into buying thier goods on offer. And little Taru’s running past me with such speed as if every ticking moment is filled with so much joy and adventure. The one thing that catches my eyes, is the friendship and love everyone has. I see friends running to the AH together, shouting and screaming at each other about how silly or stupid they are, then burst out laughing beside one another. I see young couples all over the place, holding each other with such passion that the world and everything to them, is the person they hold so dearly in thier arms. I look at them with envious eyes, but remind myself I don’t need anyone, I’ve always been alone and always will be, no one can be hurt that way.

With a grunt I walked to the auction house, dodging and weaving through the lively crowd that surounds it. I managed to make it to the auction house, being the shadow that Iam, avoiding as much attention as I possibly can. Then, a warm touch tingled my shoulder, one which I’ve felt before, that every time without fail makes my heart race. I turned round to see Nauthima, as usual her gentle smile was filled with so much warmth I tried my best to stop myself from smiling back and shrugged her hand off my shoulder. ‘What do you want?’ I said with a irritable tone, I always find dealing with people troublesome, but we’ve been through a lot togther with Luto sending us off onto crazy adventures. ‘Will you come with me to Crawler’s nest? We can get some experience and make money of expensive drops’ she said with her soft voice. I turned away from her and mumbled ‘ok, lets go’ and I stormed out of the crowd on my way to rolanberry fields, with Nauthima following behind me enthusiastically and excited to be spending time with me. The wind ravaged my hair and stung my eyes, as we jolted across the fields of lushes grass, on top of animals that bolted like streaks of lightning across the horizon. In no time at all, we stared at the dark cave known as ‘crawlers nest’ and walked with a slight hesitation in our steps, into the cave. 

The air was so stagnant and tepid, the ground squelched as our boots impacted. We swerved in and out of all the dangling vines, with all the fear I felt from this place, I couldnt help but marvel at the deep green roots and the sparkle of miasima gently falling like snow. Then, a sudden sharp pain came from behind me. ‘Overlord!’ Nauthima shouted with worry, she pulled out her Great axe and ran towards me. I turned around to see a giant Bee attacking me . I rubbed my back with my hand, searching for the wound when I felt a warm moist area which suddenly turned solid in the middle, a giant stinger was wedge into my back. Sweat dribbled down my face as I hung on to fight the monster trying to forget bout the pain. With a few smashes we managed to kill the monster, as soon as it fell to the ground I stumbled along with it collaspsing in pain. The pain.. it pulsated down my back, every throb of pain cycled my body with the beat of my heart, soon the pain grew lighter and lighter. ‘I’m sorry Overlordlaharl… It wont happen again… I’ll protect you with my life, I promise’. Nauthima’s hand was glowing, the light was as pure as the heavens, the soothing touch heal’d my aches and wounds, I turned round with no trouble from pain and stared at her, baffled by her angelic touch my heart was racing more then ever, she was a goddess. I pulled myself up and held out my hand.

‘I don’t need protecting’ I dragged her up off the ground and headed deeper into the darkness. We killed lots of monsters on the way, I was much more cautious but couldn’t help but be distracted looking at nauthima’s nervous face. We carried on deeper and deeper until we came across a mighty monster. ‘I don’t think we can take it…’ Nauthima said. I couldn’t help but feel weak and feeble, I pulled out my Great Axe and casted Utsusemi, as my hand jolted outwards my shadow split into 3 replicas that swirled around me and became one with me. I ran towards the beast with a look of anger in my face, how weak I was before, I had to prove myself to nauthima, I could protect myself, I needed no one.

The beast had a thick jet black shell as strong as steel, the Great Axes shattered off the rock hard skin and sent me flying backwards. I was shaking, what was I doing? I was no match against this. The beast’s snarling face ravaged my thoughts as I frantically swung my axe back and forth, my eyes where wide open and fearful, I just kept hitting and hitting, nothing. The beast stopped and pulled back swinging out its tail. ‘Watch out!!!!’ nauthima shouted. I jolted backwards as the sharp tail pierced the air, lacerating the side of my face. Trying to find my breath and holding my face in pain I shouted ’What the hell!? I have shadows!’.  ’Death scissors is to fast for your shadows to react, you’ll have to be careful!!’. Panic just struck me, at that moment in time, I had no hope of walking away from this without losing something, maybe even my life. As me and nauthima frantically smashed the hard shell the beast readied another move, its thin fragile legs stretched across the ground and span ferociously in a mad rage, whipping up a sandstorm that blinded me, my eyes where filled with grit, everytime I blinked it felt like sandpaper rubbing my dry delicate eyes.

‘Nauthima! Where are you!’ I shouted, like a scared lost child stumbling to the floor. And then, a moment which lasted a lifetime, through my blurry, bloodshot eyes, I looked up, the sharp piercing tail shot towards me with such speed and power. It was a split second, but the world around me was in slowmotion, I stood there, paralised by my own foolishness as I stared death blankly in the face, once again, being weak, I closed my eyes afraid to see my own downfall.

This feeling, the warm moist feeling, tingled my face. The smell of blood, the feeling of blood, its mild, crisp, fresh texture dripped down my face. Why can I feel this? is this death? Why is there no pain?  I opened my eyes so cautiously, almost afraid to see what shall lie in front of me. And there she was. Skewed through the stomach, she hung above, protecting me, the look on her face, with lifeless eyes she still had that gentle smile, that smile free from pain. The beast ripped out it’s tail and like a doll, nauthy fell and slumped over me, almost holding me softly in an embrace. The sensation I feel, the tingling sensation of her perfect touch, I lifted up my arms and held her. ‘I…need … you’ I whispered. ‘please.. .I don’t want to be alone’. Silence, nothing but silence could be heard as she laid in my arms, nothing, not even the beat of her thumping heart could be felt. She was dead. The beast jolted his tail towards me. A huge shockwave could be heard through out crawlers nest. With nauthima clenched in one arm  and my axe in another, I blocked the mighty beasts attack with the side of my axe. Thunderous energy came out of me, as I looked at the beast with eyes of rage. Lifting my mighty axe with one arm effortlessly, it came crashing down shattering the stern shell with ease and cutting the demon cleanly in half.

Without a word, without a sound, I lay nauthima down on the cold hard ground. I get down on my knees and begin digging, cutting my hands, scraping the mud and gristle as it wedges between my finger nails. Exhausted from battle, wounds gushing blood, tears stinging my eyes, I scratched and scratched for hours and hours. Time wasn’t an issue it seem to flow buy from night to morning, it didnt matter. I buried her, holding back further tears, I stood up silently and watched the soft earth underneath my feet where she lies, peacefully. I turned my back and walked out the cave, silently, nothing could express my pain, looks like I got my pathetic wish, I was once again alone.

/emoover Sorry about that XD I just wanted a nice little backstory to Overlordlaharl and why he is grumpy, you noticed in my screenshots I had lvl 60 equipment on the lvl I was when I did the end of me NPC quest *is nerd* haha XD If all you guys are wondering, the Nauthima that hangs around with Overlordlaharl now, is a Manniquen that Luto (Npc quest lady) created with a ’soul’ implemented into it that animates it, kind of like the puppets of puppetmasters. Since Overlord and Nauthima have such a strong bond this was possible, Luto did it out of thanks for all Overlord did for her. Of course, Overlord holds Nauthima dearly still and can’t let go, lament see’s this as ‘pathetic, a lonely man holding onto a soulless doll’ but still, everyone needs someone right? Also I guess he feels bad for not opening up to her and even thanking her for being there, something he regrets..

I’m really sorry its taken this long to write a blog I’ve been addicted to FFXI cos of a certain job ^^. DANCER. In my first blog I got Dancer to lvl 11, it took me so long because I was at uni so I only had about a hour or so playtime a day. But thankfully its easter so I’ve had 2 whole weeks to be lazy and play FF 24/7 . So as a little lvl 11 Dancer I made my way to the highlands to get some soloing done! At that moment in time my LS was having a static in quifim-

I kinda wanted to join it as DNC but because of UNI I couldn’t. This was on Sunday night, the next static was Wensenday! So I set myself a target of lvl 19 so I can join the static, there was 1 space free until lvl 24 because Spankey had only a lvl24 DRK. SO lets get to it!!!!!!!!!!!!! To be honest, everyone kept saying DNC is a solo job, so I tried and tried soloing but I just kept dieing ;.; I was like what am I doing wrong!? SO I went to good old dunes to find a pt, I’ve always been warned to solo to about lvl 14 but I was lazy~ But now, I kinda wished I hadn’t bothered seeking <.<

Frist of all, I waited for about a hour, and I just got a blind invite, I hate blind invites XD Anyway I took it, and he seemed nice enough, he invited a bunch of people it took about 40mins to get a full pt…. then he said-

*/sigh*

So I was to high, why did he invite me and make me stand for 40mins ;.; I just left straight away and ignored his future invites in the dunes *is grumpy XD* then about 30 seconds later I got another blind invite, and I thought to myself *this isnt gonna turn out good*…and it didnt… 2 hours it took before we started fighting things ;.; and even then we died the first time hahaha! I went insane, people on the LS at the time probably remembered. I stuck with the horrible pt’s, thank the lord a good one came along, I /check the leader of the pt, their job title ‘Kirin Captivator’ thank the lord. I finally got lvl 15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and got a brand new move called ‘Curing Waltz’. Its amazing. 20tp. 75 hp cured. 5 second recast. :Q. This is when DNC can solo. SO I thought I’ll go check it out, see how I could do with this amazing cure. I called out my trusty and my true love Nauthy~

So, cos im cocky and thought I could take on god. I decided my first mob should be a Tough. And of course I killed it with ease o.o Thanks to the new update, Nauthima actually enfeebs straight away with dia, slow and paralysis, and when im actually hurt…she CURES ME! Thanks SE again for a nice bit of the new update ^^. When I killed my first mob I got 210 exp!!!

For a Tough mob, which was pretty easy and fast to kill, I think thats good exp. So quite easily I solod and pt then solod and thank the lord I finally lvld to 19!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I reached my target ;.; SO when Wensenday came I could party with my fellow suicide moogles!! It was one frosty night in Jeuno, we all managed to gather together, without a moogle insight, we whispered and murmured, our tactics and dreams, to rid the moogles, and bring us peace.

The party got underway! It was me as Dancer, Sylbianna as Black mage, Akaimijiku as Paladin, Amith as Bard, Millionsknives as Ranger and Othelia as Warrior. It was a really good party I enjoyed it lots, we got about 2 lvls that night, I think I got to about lvl 22, then we decided to have another pt and I got to lvl 23 :Q! It was really fun finding out all my new moves and showing them to everyone ,I got a sort of ‘provoke’ and also a step move which lowers the targets evasion. I actually felt helpful in the pt as I was curing a hell of a lot and dmging the mob >:V Spankey came along sometimes to help us being the dood that he is!

After I reached my lvl of 23, I put on my coat and hat, turned to all my friends and bidded farewell as the space was for spankey, but Im a lone wolf, so with a quick turn I carried on my adventure to lvl Dancer! Now, when im on holiday, I kinda go overboard on FFXI. And I mean overboard. I had a 14 HOUR PARTY!! I got from lvl 23-30 hahaha XD in a day!!! It was such a lovly party though. We started in Quifim, we had a thf puller and we were there till I was 25, then the WHM was like ‘We should all stick together~’ so we did! and ran all the way to Kazham!! *Well not ran but meh XD* We all started talking, there all from the UK so all the same time as me ^^ they have their own LS all from the UK, so it was nice meeting them all, I got some on my Friend list now Oh. But there was this gob. When I was pulling, it aggro’d me, fair enough it killed me. Then it depopd. PL raised me. Gob popd back ages away. Ran all the way to me and killed me. Depopd. Pl Raised me. Gob popd miles away and ran to me and killed me ;.; this happened another 2 times XD We were all laughing, I was to haha, the PL finally said ‘haha enough fun’ and he killed it hahaha XD We were all together from 11am – 2am in the next day ;.; It was really nice and I’d like to pt with them again. I got so many new Dances, its a brilliant job, Im still not bored of it.

ADVENTURES AND BRENNER!!!!

After that very long pt, I decided to relax and do more activities with me friends and LS, since there is a huge game out there other than lvling hahaha XD Well my friend Millionsknives decided to get me ranked up! I’ve read the rank 6 missions before and I swear down it was harder then this XD First of all we had to go to Altepa deserts to fight two big NMs!!! Luckily, I cast sneak on myself and when I popd the two NMs I managed to only aggro one, so I only had one to deal with.

*Frantic FFXI ACTION!*

Both of us being awesome we managed to do it with ease. Killing it I got me key item and that was 6-1 out of the way! It was that easy ^^ then the next one you have to buy a ore, which use to cost 20k…now it was 40k >.< so we got it and went on our way to Ifrits Cauldron. I’ve never been ther before, I was looking forward to it, and it was just a exact replica of Mount Zhayolm, man SE you sure are lazy~ Anyway A lizard and a bomb both pop, but once again. I only managed to aggro one ^^ Amith was with us this time!! And once again, we kicked butt.

I really like that screenshot haha XD So we killed it, I got rank 7 and a Nice 40k!!! Oh wait… the ore cost 40k… ;.; are well it evens out! Thank you Millionsknives for the help and thanks amith to! With a nice new rank 7 I decided to buy a Scorpion harness. Dont ask why, I’ve always had a SH fetish, I neeed it o.o So I finally got one, and now I only have 700gil :3 AHhaha So a way to make money was to tag along with Millionsknives to the avatar fights were you get 10k for each battle. First of all we did Titan, piece of cake, I managed to be helpful and DMG deal without getting to much hate. Got 10k for that the next one was Gaurda-

It was going well, Millionsknives has done this ’millions’ of times, get it, millions? *ahem* anyway, yeah I had to run away when she 2 hours cos my shadows will only cut about 30% off it, so itll prob do about 700dmg which is to much. But to aram who had Blink, Shadows, Stoneskin and everything else up, it should only do 200dmg. But for some reason, it did 1000dmg!!!! and he died XD It was a silly glitch cos no way it could of done that much dmg with everything up. Ah well thanks for the 10k Mill!!! It was also cool to see and fight the summons!.

BRENNER

Once again, the Suicide Moogle brenner is underway!!!It was a 40 cap, the line up is as follows!!!

*Mill DRK, Ami DRK, Ked BLU, Syl SCH, Ped RDM and Over WAR*

In this brenner, I was excited, cos it was time to test out my new DNC sub!! It worked out well ^^ but with Mill enfeebling me every second I couldn’t do much ;.; and also him dancing on my body and saying ‘gutted’ every second made me angry >:V But I managed to mash everyone in the face now and again. The first battle we wiped the floor with them, the second we got wiped the floor with, and the 3rd I can’t remember XD But all in all it was good fun!!! Everyone got tired and left apart from Me, Sylbianna and Kedrigan! So we decided 2 vs 1 battle, and with Kedrigan being a awesome Blu, it was me and Sylbianna against him!!!!

*TEAM LEMON :B*

First of all, we had a few shouts from Dave mentioning Sylbiannas drug indused answers XD but we both got on our feet and ran to the brenner flames!!! We started mashing and bashing the potents things and the brenners… It was a little to easy… we got a little cocky thinking Kedrigan D/c’s or he was trying to find us, we were like ‘KEDRIGAN SMEDRIGAN :B’ and then he got a FLAME >.<! And thats when the battle really began… He was unstoppable @_@ we kept dieing and dieing and he kept living and living! We didnt kill him once! It was the final 5 minutes of the fight, me and sylbianna joined forces, it was the last stand. We ran towards him ready for battle!!! It was immense! Smash!! ZAP! CRASH!!!!! Izzy was smashed in the stomach, as she fell to the ground blood pouring from her mouth, she told me to beat him, for her, for our pride! The NPC shouted ‘1 minute left!!!’. I ran towards Kedrigan, who was worn out and bloody from battle. I swung my axe he manged to dodge left and right and center. He had a tiny bit of HP left, one final swing could kill him. I felt Sylbiannas hands wrap round my axe to help my final blow. I lifted my axe as Kedrigan fell over and stared at my mighty axe in the air. This was it, the final SMASH!!!! As I swung down- *GAME OVER*…. the time ran out… KEDRIGAN LIVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMN HIM D: Team lemon failed…. ;.; but all in all… it was a brilliant match XD! Time for a last farewell team lemon dance.

Once again it’s another big update!! There are many mix views about it, but it’s impossible to make everyone happy so let’s just enjoy what we get! Last night I left my FFXI update running, it took like 3 hours, so I left it running while I took a quick nap~ upon waking I realised my FFXI wouldn’t load ;.; I must of reloaded it about 50 times! Thankfully my good friend Garcie told me you need to change ‘Load recast’ to ‘//load recast’ @_@. So I loaded it up and banged it on!!!

I heard all the changes they made to jobs and actual gameplay of FFXI, and of course being a warrior I wanted to test out the new job ability ‘Retaliation’. I know its not much, like SCH gets all this new tasty stuff, but I got really excited just having something new to play with since warrior has lame abilities to merit :/

One big problem with updates is how everyone is impatient and they NEED to get the new items and spells that are out XD so everything is at stupid prices, but if they just wait 1 week it’ll be about 1/8 of the price! Also… I’d like to say I’m guilty for this <.<;;. As soon as I logged in and left the Moghouse I heard a little tarutaru shout ‘Monomi: Ichi 20,000g’ and I was like :O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you can see, about halfway through Sylbianna told me the quest is easy ;.; and I checked it and you can buy it from a NPC for 10k, the poor littletaru kept asking me if I was buying it XD guess it was my own fault, I can tell what he was thinking ‘I’m so glad there’s still idiots playing this game’ <.<;. After turning down the taru I scurried to the past to try out my new tasty Ability! I was to lazy to go anywhere hard so I just looked around South Gustaberg [S] for a EP mob  and found those spiders near the Maw to test my skills on! I did the usually buff up -> Aggressor -> Warcry -> Berserk

RETALIATION!! man… Overlord’s into the pink funky stuff isnt he <.<; anyway, this move is extremely awesome, to give you guys some details on it, its a lvl 60 Warior ability that allows you to retaliate an attack from a mob, I tested it out for a while, but as soon as I had it up and on my second attack it happened, and check out the DMG!

The dmg there is just unbelievable, and this was just the second time of me being hit! I haven’t tested it with shadows yet, I’ve been told you can retaliate even if you get hit with a shadow up, but I’ve also been told that you need to be DMG’d in order to retaliate, if that’s true, /SAM will be a better sub. Another thing I need to find out, is whether you get hate like you do with ‘Warcry’ but I doubt it due to the recast time. This is were I drooled, you would of thought it was a 5 min recast time with a duration of 3mins. Its actually a 3min duration with a 3 min recast time!! So basically you have it up constantly so SE expect ya to have it up all the time, so it’ll have no hate effect  Thank you for a nice new ability SE at least you made me happy heh. Well… apart from….

EPIC QUEST FOR MONOMI: ICHI

After testing out the new power I found within myself, I decided to go to Lower Jeuno to browse and purchase the new items available to me. As usual, the auction house was hustling with life, people shouting for help and friends laughing and waving to each other. I cracked a smile at the beauty of this wonderful place. As I calmly walked to purchase some goods, I couldn’t help but over hear two little mithra’s talking about the new sneak spell for ninja, and from their friendly chatter a subtle undertone of exhaustion came from their speech. I’ve heard from many people the dangers of the quest for Monomi: Ichi. I new at that moment, at that time, this is what I have to do, this was my destiny. My friend othelia was online, seeking out new spells to unlock his power, I decided to mention my daring quest.

I turned my back, and walked to the port, trying my best to forget those words of Othelia, that were filled with fear and concern. I needed to do this. The port air was noisy and harsh, the chopping sounds of propellers shot through my ears, I managed to stumbled to the Kazham airship port, breathless, scared. As I stood in a crowd of restless people, in the distance a mighty ship, flew elegantly down, like a angel softly falling through the clouds. I stared in awe. I somehow managed to walk onto the ship after being baffled by its greatness. Through my bafflement and confusion I ended up in front of the captain. I jumped backwards, here was me, a small worthless adventurer, in front of a man with such power and passion, his face was ridged with wrinkles, his eyes were stern and lonely, he looked at me with a glare. He asked one simple quest. ‘What takes you to kazham?’. I wanted to tell him of my dream, my desire to prove myself, but, a simple word came out in a fearful quiver ‘Monomi’. His eyes changed, they were no longer Stern, they were, uneasy. He was obviously a man of few words, but these few simple words, churned my stomach to the core. ‘Is that so.’ He said. ‘Please, take care’ he said with a slight twitch of his eye and he turned back round, sturdily, and carried on his duty.

I gave my thanks, his concern was more than enough to ease my troubles of this dangerous quest. I walked to the back of the ship, and sat down to embrace myself for the landing. The ship shook as if it received a heavy blow, I panicked and a thunderous noise boomed throughout this magnificent behemoth, then, suddenly, calmness. I stood up bewildered, and ran to the exit of the ship. A bright light blinded me, the solar-flare faded and I froze. Palm tress, tropical plants, the blistering sun. This was paradise. As excited tarus and mithras scuttled past me, I gazed at the crystal sea, it glistened with scattering bursts of lights. But I knew this was no time to be dazed by kazhams beauty. I strolled down the docks, but with each step, I grew more cautious, and suddenly, something crossed my path. No. Not something. A terrible beast.

His beady red eyes pierced my soul. I was paralyzed, my legs wouldn’t move, this beast needn’t bear its claws, its mere presence froze me in fear. I couldn’t find the strength in my arms to wield my axe, the battle was already decided, I had lost, I had failed everyone. A split second lasted a lifetime, as pictures of my friends flashed in my mind. They cheered me on, they believed in me, I thought I was alone, but all along, I had everyone behind me. A sudden burst of power came into my arm, I grasped the axe not out of desperation or fear, but with passion and confidence. My mighty axe, heavy with iron and power, swiftly, effortlessly flows through the air.

The beast, lies there, motionless, his deep red eyes, peaceful.  I had won, my friends, they were there with me they gave me the strength, I moved forward without thought or regret and carried on my quest. I was a mess, exhaustion was overpowering as I stumbled up the wooden ramp, sweat was trickling down my face, I was about to give up hope when I saw the final destination of my quest. My eyes widened, I rushed and stumbled through the wooden door tripping over my enthusiastic feet. And there she was, looking at me with a confused face, I dusted myself off walked up to her and handed over 10,000gil. Silently and politely she handed to me a dusty old scroll, I slowly lifted the scroll from her, and without a word I bowed my exhausted head and walked out. I let out a giant sigh and inhaled the crisp fresh air, I held the scroll out to the sky, the relief, the fear, the trauma, all gone.

I walked onto the airship, slowly I made it to the deck, the wind violently but softly ruffled my dry messy hair. I made my way to the edge of the ship, I stared at the view, as the golden sun dyed the ground below with a healthy glow. I realised I proved myself, I’ve accomplished the great that so many failed. I found myself.

XD I’m sorry about that hahah, It’s just that with this update, it seems all the new spells you can simply buy from a NPC :/ There’s no epic quest or NM to kill, it was kind of a downer. But none the less!!

Woop! the tools only cost 19k, if you think about it, that’s 99 silent oils for 19k! its a bargain! Thank you all for reading my blog I hope you all enjoy the update!

Hello All

I’ve played FFXI for about 2 years, I’ve been on many adventures and made lots of friends along the way. I wish I could tell you all the tales from the start to present, but its kinda hard with lame offcial screenshots and 2 years worth of stories being squished into a few paragraph! So *ahem* I’ll start to make logs of my adventures starting from now, from interestesting stories and adventures, to annoying parties or wierd glitches!

Thankfully today my friend Aram (millionsknives) helped me set up windower and boosted my graphics so the screenshots I take now should look professional and beautiful :3 Here is a beautilful piccy of Overlordlaharl Dancing for your enjoyment~

So far my DNC is only 11 hopefully I’ll be 75 in no time, but I haven’t got a party yet and im to lazy to solo ;.; well I was soloing with my little Nauthy! (lvl 58 Healer), I spent about a month lvling up my NPC, at the present time she doesnt have good gear because she was left on the sifelines for a while ;.; Here is us two~ :3 And also a picture of us two beating the snot of a bird!! GO TEAM!!
